I grew up on Ask.fm

I grew up on Ask.fm. Not as a product person. As a teenager with a link and an inbox.

You shared your page. People asked. A lot of the questions had no name on them. You answered on your profile, and that page became a record of how you talked — not a highlight reel of how you wanted to look.

I liked that more than I understood at the time.

Years later I opened SpaceHey. A MySpace that came back on purpose. It works because the feeling is real. People miss a smaller internet. A place that is a little theirs.

I thought about cloning Ask.fm. Same boxes. Same lime. Same 2012. Easy to explain. A dead end.

A replica has a ceiling. It can only be as good as the memory. I wanted something that starts from that memory and then gets bigger. A real network. Not a museum.

So I built Amaplace.

You still ask people questions. You still answer on your profile. Named or anonymous, your choice. Friends, a stream, a quieter private page if you want one. The product should fit how you actually want to talk.

If you remember that old feeling, this is for you. If you don't, you can still use it the same way: pick a username, share the link, wait for the first question.

That's the whole idea.

How to start

Create an account. Share your profile. Friends ask from that page. You answer from Inbox. Public answers can show up in Stream; a private account stays with the people who follow you.

Turn off anonymous questions or hide from Stream in Settings if you want a quieter page.
